Mouni Roy doesn’t need an introduction now. The girl ruled the television industry with her charm and showed her acting skills and talent on the small screen. Mouni Roy grabbed many opportunities after her successful show- Ekta Kapoor’s Naagin, two seasons in a row on Colors.
The diva will soon mark her Bollywood debut alongside Khiladi Akshay Kumar in Gold, which is directed by Reema Kagti. Her co-star Akshay always mentioned that Mouni Roy has a very important role in the film.
Mouni Roy already has four upcoming ventures. Yes, you heard it right. She must be on the ninth cloud.
Mouni Roy already started shooting for her next biggie which is Ayan Mukerji’s dream project Brahmastra, also starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Amitabh Bachchan. Recently, Mouni returned back to home from the Brahmastra shoot in Bulgaria and gave an interview to a leading daily where she spoke about the movie and how it is to be on the sets of the film.
Speaking about her character in the film, she said that, “While I can’t reveal much about my character, I can say that I am the only villain of the Ranbir film.” It will be fun to watch Mouni in a negative role on the big screen.
When asked about how it felt working with Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni said, “It was surreal. I was like this little puppy who was just excited to see him and didn’t know what to do and after giving a shot with him I could have happily died. Who would have imagined that a girl from Cooch Behar would be sharing the screen with Amitabh Bachchan.”
Speaking about Ranbir and Alia’s chemistry, she said that they are two professional actors and are like fire on the screen.
Talking about her further projects, Mouni will also be seen opposite John Abraham in a film titled Romeo Akbar Walter. The film is a thriller, and nothing much is revealed yet. According to Mouni, it is “the best-kept secret.”
She will be seen in another film titled Made in China alongside Rajkummar Rao where will be seen playing his wife’s role. The duo will play a Gujarati couple. About her role, Mouni said, “I’m the Gujarati hottie,” and also added that she has already started taking Gujarati classes for her character.
