The makers are yet to make an official announcement of the release date for Game of Thrones season 8. There are reports about the series going on air in the second half of 2019. The speculations started doing the rounds of the social media after GoT visual effects supervisor Joe Bauer, in an interview with Huffington Post, said that the American fantasy drama show will be eligible for the 2020 Emmys and not the 2019 Emmys. Well, nothing can be said to be true unless an official announcement is made.
